been leafing through old memories

attendant to the stars

In my sketchpad this time. There are a few more over on flickr. Having problems with the idea of posting to rememberingandy but I suppose that I should do a gather through the archives ... listened to everyone wants to be happy (weird side) this morning -- an old mix-tape unmistakably made by andypop for monocat. On Jenni's old ipod it was just one enormous 45-minute track, but that's OK. Sensitive Artist is just brilliant, and oh, it's been an age since I listened to the eternally relevant I Spent My Last $10 On Birth Control And Beer.

I have Sensitive Artist on an old Andy comp and it is genius. I'm sure you, like me, scream the ending.

Just got the vinyl 12-inch of 'Spent My Last $10'
courtesy of zotz, which was great. Haven't played it on the record player yet but there's the weekend for that, weather permitting...

I have MP3s of both tracks as indivdual items if you want?

On Jenni's old ipod - blimey - that means more than one!

[sigh] - it seemed a good, albeit cruely ironic title for the tape... but I hope he would have found some delight in that.

and it has got some corking stuff on it

side B soon - & that's the 'wired' side - which'll have tunes really rattling round your head - yup!

Hi
Hi Jeremy,

It was good to see you at the funeral, I'm sorry we didn't get to chat very much at the wake in the pub, but it was nice to talk to you. I was really touched that you'd seen my work, and your current work with young people sounds like a terrific thing to be doing - very challenging and frustrating at times I'm sure, but I bet it's also very rewarding and feels worthwhile as well.

I was saying to Jenni at one point that the four of you (Andy of course, Damian, Jenni and yourself) were always in my mind very special and important people to me, especially at an intense, sometimes difficult, always interesting time in my life... It feels horrible and wrong and unbelievable that Andy is gone, and I could tell it had effected you quite deeply... So I just wanted to tell you, I understand, or think I do.

I had a dream that night about Andy - which I don't know if I want to post publicly but I can tell you by email if you give me your private email (ccouldnt find it on the Alleged site which is why I'm doing it this way).

It would be nice to see you, Damian and Jenni at some point soon-ish so I'm just mailing really to touch bases and give you my email address, sina_art@hotmail.com

Ok, that's it... Take care,

Sina
