nearly forgot about this week's strip

I went to the beer festival (in Oxford) last week and actually took notes for once. And got the beer that tasted of wet dog. I'm not sure why people make them, but there always seems to be one at any given festival (sometimes more). Anyway, there's something very 70s about beer festivals (or is it early 80s?) even in these days when half the attendees are wearing goth corsets and floppy fringes, so I went very 70s on the colours. My palette has gone all Rosie the Hen.

I've tried (and liked) Dr Hexter's before, at the Madding Crowd I think. Otherwise, yes, I'm kicking myself for missing this year's festival.

poster-worthy!
I actually think if you sent this to the organisers, you may get a job illustrating the programme for next year?

Re: poster-worthy!
I'm not really in the usual style of beer festival illustrations, but I might forward a link to a few local camra people. they have a newsletter, doubtless....

By that logic she gets to taste and illustrate all the beers before the festival - Result! (I think she'll need an assistant... [volunteers])

If I'm doing that I'll need a whole RAFT of volunteer helpers.

Huzzah - the tasting notes concept worked! I still think the Abbeydale was the nicest, although the old smokey sofa came a close second.
