I'm having one of those STAY IN YOUR HOME days, you know, where everything seems to be out to get you? I'd make a list, but it's the sort of thing that just looks like comedy from the outside. Presumably I forget to sacrifice to some god or failed in some crucial DUTY TO THE WORLD or didn't do things in the right order or something.

Thank goodness for geckos eating watermelons. Although I fear it's only a temporary fix.

A Grizzleguts Day...
I saw ABOUT SCHMIDT last night; totally identify with the bleak meaninglessness, and I don't even have the dosh to sponsor some far-away orphan. Snuk...
Must say those geckos helped a bit, though; ta.

it's been scientifically proven
More money does help alleviate misery. It does. And I want geckos for housepests.

research into mood-brighteners
adult hot chocolate = £1.90 (pleasure wrecked by rude server unfortunately)

two cups st john's wort tea = 28p and worth every penny

mix CD from mondoagogo on i-pod = free and fabulous

Reading this news story = priceless and hilarious

But still. Need. Wine. Now.

Sorry to hear that.

I am in the Magic Cafe and there are about fifty screeching toddlers running up and down and up and down, and hitting me with dollhouses. Well, at least poking me in the ribs with dollhouses.

dollshouses?
points for originality, I guess, but still -- ouch!

I'm having my stay-in-bed day today. Going to watch really long films. I would do the oliver stone political films, but I normally save them for sick days. David Lean maybe. Sounds more like the world has failed in a crucial duty to you; hope it's pulled itself together a bit since then.

The geckos are cute, it must be said. I was just picturing your house with geckos wandering among the plastic dinosaurs, and then imagining having trouble telling the difference between the plastic and the living.. and then picturing all the plastic creatures coming to life, and then I had to leave quickly.

I don't think it works that way round
... having your duvet day on sunday is strikingly good planning, though. Nah, I had a strikingly good time on Friday evening (which helped) but I'm still out of sorts. Might try a film myself this evening, there are a few on I want to see.
