I've been busy

But I'll talk about that later. For now:

A closer, more detailed look at the bowling for barbies. Also: knitted fruit.

The next in an irregular series of favourite livejournal posts ever: There is a huge turkey walking around in the back yard and the cats are FREAKING OUT!

In the news today: zengineer starts working in central Oxford, and the dangerous driver who did in andypop last year has been found, arrested and bailed. No, I don't have any further details -- but I did have an horrendous nightmare as a result of that particular piece of news. I ended up having to promise a spikey orange monster all the topsoil in my back garden to avoid a promised favour or compulsory gift of being taken off the the land of the dead and abandoned there without any clear way back. Many nasty details omitted.

Because I've found myself telling a few people about it this weekend, the internet shrine to the O RLY Owl: I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. O RLY???? (Currently in cold war with the PREVED Bear, according to Google.)

Be still my heart: Baby butch Teddy Girls.

Bowling for Barbies is brilliant-- but what are you using for balls?
3rd Apr, 2006 15:28 (UTC)
They're a pair of fluffy toy ducklings, forced into a rough ball-shape through being wrapped up in elastic bands. They make a sort of whimpering twitter when punched, crushed, thrown at barbies hugged. They're rather vile ...

I'm doing up some parcels of easterish little things for people, would you like one?

God, I'd LOVE one! :-)

But I seem to have mislaid it somewhere -- send me it through to cleanskies @ yahoo.co.uk ?

We can't see the turkey cats because we are not her friends.

(Did I really just write that sentence?)

I was just passing on the concept, really. All you miss really is a bunch of comments about the turkey -- including the observation that it "looks like a haggis with a chicken head" ...

Mm. Perhaps I've been a bit too badmouthy on owls recently. I've not ever actually met an owl so its a bigotry I base from watching a inaccurate depiction of them on teevee box.

(Thanks for my top parts new shape. I got two compliments from folk who noticed straight away too !)

You can meet owls fairly regularly in Oxford town centre, outside the Westgate -- the owl sanctuary bring along a demonstration set to beg for money. They look like this:

The Owl Hates Me

Aaaarrrhh! That owl has no eyes, it has no face!
4th Apr, 2006 16:12 (UTC)
Yeah, owl the heck is it going to real ?

I found them, and they're going
onto the wall in a sort of falling down shape, as if the pstory were fragmenting -- and of course it is!
