doodles (all better)

"How are you doing?" asked Jenny in the corridoor. "Um - ok," I said. I must have been unconvincing. "All recovered now, are you?" she persisted. "Yes, I'm much better," I said. It's um-ok or an hour's whining at the moment and I really don't want to go into all that not her not now, but I drew some of it down into a doodle here which is healthy I suppose.

um - ok detail

Back at work. They've replaced the toilet that wouldn't flush with one that persistently gets blocked. I really did think toilets were a solved problem but oh well. None of my plants are dead. Not much joy getting any comics done at the moment. It's motivational, I think.

I keep on trying ... detail

More nightmares. Initially they had a sort of Cronenbergish charm, but right now I just want an uninterrupted night's sleep.

Updates:

Wolves in the Walls = brilliant
New Compost Bin = capacious
Decent hoodie/cardigan = completely undiscoverable
To my boy = some consolation
This week's Torchwood = marginally better

But maybe that's no surprise.

My son asks me to give him a topic at bedtime to dream about, to try and prevent his nightmares. I tell him to dream about walking on the moon and to imagine how each spec of moon dust rises and falls in a perfect semi-circle under his feet, just like in an article I read to him once.

I could say unkind stereotypical things about British plumbing, but it seems all that can be said has been said.

god jeremy I just love your art so much. If I had a big house in a sunny place and millions of pounds I'd pay you to take a holiday there in return for doodling over the walls in the den.

just wanted to say that the magenta head saying "need milk" with the raven saying "I know" is a delight

I laughed and it was good to laugh
