thankyou and happy friday

Thank you all so very very much for your congratulations and best wishes! timscience and myself celebrated by heading into London to visit the Kew treetop walk (daylight) the Tate (twilight) and the Electric Ballroom to see the Presets (night). So I've not had time to thank you individually yet, but I will, I will!

In a few spare moments, I closed down the tomatoes for the year, and found this little flower growing among the wreckage of mould and dead leaves. Happy Friday!

Which has reminded me that we've congratulated Tim but not you - it's very happy news.

Did you see the Rothko? How did you like it if so?

Oh, we got to the Tate very late thanks to a day of public transport disasters (we've decided, abitrarily, to blame Boris for everything, including the late running of the Oxford Tube) but I probably wouldn't go and see Rothko anyway -- I've already seen about twelve of his paintings, and I think that's enough to get the gist

I love that little flower-just got in from the garden myself, having spent an hour digging up an old root that has been bugging me for a year- I actually thought I was digging to the centre of the earth. Phew, gardening. Lovely.

It's a bit bitter for it at the moment. Too bad, I just got a nice new hoe.
