Ikea has finally passed out of eclipse and is full of vibrant red furniture. This makes looking round it both more cheerful and more productive! Also far more likely to produce a drinks cabinet I like.
My shed is full of tender plants, which has made it a more cheerful place as well as being good for the plants. I'm now dithering about trying to overwinter my New Guinea Busy Lizzies (or Germaniums, as timscience insists on calling them. In previous years I've just let them deliquesce into winters' frosts, but really, why not?

Crystal Castles gig at the Ansell Rooms in Bristol truly astonishing, Health (support band) live I like them waaay better than on record. The Zodiac is such a grim venue nowadays that it's easy to get a bit disillusioned with the live music stuff -- it's great to go to something that's really explosions.
