hopeful/hopeless (scratchy salvation?)

The cracks are showing at work; about six people asked me if I was OK today, one repeatedly, complete with accusations of avoidance. Given that I was attending a full training day with three seminars, one on Community Cohesion, and the other two on our legal obligations re. race and disability, I think I had reason. I'm also not entirely sure why I am unhappy. Spent a little while interrogating myself in the loos, but I'm a bit flummoxed. The several likely contenders just don't seem to be upsetting me enough to justify this. As far as talking to anyone else goes, my well-honed avoidance skills triumphed -- as did taking the train instead of talking a lift out of someone. Countryside passing, Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin and Star Guitar probably made me happier than any amount of talking could.

This week's strip is my least favourite page of Siouxie -- but I have a three-page long excuse on my desk called Angel Lives with Slute and Barbie. Also, Northgate have agreed space for Caption on Saturday am. Also, I'm using these really hard nibs Matt gave me years ago and it's strangely satisfying. Should really get back to inking now ...
